User Interaction and Cloud Implementation of Healthcare System

Question: Tele-health can reduce socioeconomic demands by reducing travelling for face-to-face visits. Technology can be successfully applied in community-based patient care to enhance the capacity of nurses to deliver medications management for clients, resulting in increased efficiency of service delivery as well as staff and patient satisfaction. Tele-health in patients homes supplements delivery of care, can reduce unplanned medical visits and improve self-management of an illness. Remote healthcare can supplement the delivery of care, providing support to clients and healthcare staff. For this project we are using the Tunstall tele-health monitoring equipment as an example of the type ofequipment that is used. See the series of 2 minute videos on the following site to see what their current Technology looks like for tablet interaction with older people: The aim of the project is to improve the tablet computer interaction for the end-user of tele-health hardware and software in the homes of older people living in the community. We will assume that the community-dwelling older people live in regional, rural and remote locations in the central west of NSW. Cloud Implementers The expert's technicians, engineers for implementing cloud facility; The cloud implementers have the responsible for integrating the cloud technology in the system for easy accessing the system from remote and rural places (Grefen, Pernici, Snchez, 2012, p-56). Project Shareholders The owner of the project, the owner of the health cares service provider The project shareholders are responsible for the approving the project implementation, funding the development and cloud implementation (Ball, Weaver, Kiel, 2013, p-92). User Environment The stakeholders are going to develop the product for the elderly persons living in a remote community of the New South Wales. The people have a limited technological knowledge and require easy interface for the online healthcare system. The team requires improving the interface of the system so that the patients can easily utilize the system for inputting the medical information (Galianoà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‚ Castillo et al., 2016, p-98). There needs to be an option for voice input so that the user can easily input the information like weight, blood pressure, etc. The healthcare system will be developed for the elderly people living in the remote and rural area of the New South Wales. The project team comprises of ten members, project manager and cloud implementation expert for the development of the system. The number of people involved in the project is constant (Longest Jr Darr, 2014). The project manager has allocated the time to each activity in the project. In addition to that, the project manager has endured the timely execution of each activity in the project as allocated the schedule. The system is developed focusing on the people of New South Wales for easier and remote access to healthcare solutions. The current healthcare assistance systems are based on Windows platform only (Breen et al., 2015, p-511). The project aims at developing a platform-independent system for accessing healthcare services from both personal computers and mobile devices. The developed system will provide, long-term health care monitoring and control, provid e online healthcare meeting with medical experts, provide medical suggestions and solutions, schedule meeting with doctors and controlling and monitoring the health condition of the patients. Product Overview Product Perspective The developed application for the mobile healthcare assistance is dependent on the cloud technology, healthcare experts, and healthcare servers. The elderly patients input their medical information through the application that is being saved in the cloud and sent the server for analysis. The data are then fetched from the remote server and cloud server for providing a solution to the patients through their mobile devices. Figure 1: Block Diagram of the Health Care System (Created by Author) Assumptions and Dependencies The assumptions for the system are: The devices accessing the healthcare system are connected to the internet; The user is already registered with the system; Needs and Features The functional requirements and feature of the new cloud based telehealth application are: Secure database: The database stores and retrieves the user data for constant monitoring of the patients; Cloud Infrastructure: The cloud implementation will allow device and platform independent access to the developed system (Tsai, 2014, p-381); Real-Time Monitoring: The system will use the data and information given by the users and provide observations of the improvement of the patients health. The inclusion of the functional requirement will help in improving the functionality and efficiency of the developed system and provide the elderly people living in remote places with efficient healthcare assistance. Need Priority Features Planned Release Mobile application High The system will be accessed from any mobile devices connected to the internet. 1st December 2016 Provide Data Storage Facility High The patients will able to store their data, information and medical histories stored in the system. 1st December 2016 Video Conferencing Medium This feature will allow the patients to directly communicate through video conference with the doctors. 1st January 2017 Alternatives and Competition The Tunstall e-health system is one of the major competitors to the developed system having established e-health services. The Tunstall telehealth system provides video conferencing and long-term monitoring of the patients. Tunstall has aimed their services to the elderly that provided scheduling a one-to-one video session with the medical experts (Liu et al., 2013, p-1470). Tunstall has developed it to get medical assistance from their residence without the need of visiting the hospitals. The competitors product has devices attached to the tablets for reading medical conditions that monitor the health, video conferencing features to the doctors. From the business point of view, the online medical assistance eliminated the need for visiting the doctor and allowed the users to users to monitor their health for a long time. Although providing online assistance is the significant strength of the telehealth, the main disadvantage in term of business is the lack in the easy user interface. Since the telehealth is aimed for the elderly, there is a scope of enhancing the user interface of the system. There are various existing healthcare systems like tele-health exist in the market that gives tough competition to the use of the developed system (Pearlson, Saunders, Galletta, 2016). The significant strength of the developed system is the use of cloud computing that provides access to the system from any mobile devices. Other Product Requirements The non-functional requirements and their features of the new system are: User personalization: The user will be able to create profile and save medical information for long time monitoring of the persons health (Nazneen et al., p-59) ; Content Aggregation: The new e-health system will be developed within a single page with easy of navigation and having all the services integrated into a singular module; Ease of Use: The e-health system will be developed for the elderly people, who have limited knowledge about the technology; Support for various service modules: The e-health support system real-time monitoring and medical assistance. The new system will have video conferencing modules integrated for immediate medical assistance and feedback. The requirement for the system will be developed within a time limit of one year. The developed system will provide easy user accessibility and help in gaining more customers to the system. The new developed system will allow the user to access the system form any device and location that provides a market advantage to the stakeholders. The developed system is operation system independent and can be accessed from any platform and any devices. The user needs first to register through the application and log in to his account every time he wants a medical assistance. The system is dependent on the internet access. The system will also provide online help assistance for using the application for the first time. References Abdelhak, M., Grostick, S., Hanken, M. A.
